BUT WHO AM I REALLY?

Lory Pattanaik is an Indian Author, a rare blend of creativity and versatility who also stands as an Engineer, Human Resource Strategist, Entrepreneur, Writer, and Journalist. She has authored 16 books, spanning Autobiographies, Biographies, Fiction, Journals, and Technical Works, making her one of the most dynamic literary voices from Central India.

In her earlier journey (since 2009), she joined the Power Sector as an Instrumentation Engineer at Rohit Ferrotech Ltd ( Formerly known as TATA STEEL & MINING LTD ) and challenged the stereotype that women in Power Plants could only handle documentation work. From green field projects to erection and commissioning, she served 8 years with dedication and commitment. Later, upon moving to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, she joined software firms as a Content Strategist and Project Manager, but her true passion for writing kept calling her back.

Her natural curiosity soon opened doors to a parallel career. For over 16 years, she has worked as a columnist and editor, where the “who, what, where, when, why, and how” were only the beginning of her inquiries. With her journalist’s eye, she helped clients determine where they are and where they’d like to be, then crafted and delivered strategies to get there. Her specialties include media relations, communications strategy, and content creation for industries such as entertainment, data analytics, healthcare, FMCG, education, and financial services.

Life in Central India connected her with renowned brands, and she unveiled emotions into words that caught nationwide attention. She successfully collaborated with leading publication houses of India like Dainik Bhaskar, TOI, HT, and Shree Prakashan Journal as Project Journalist.

Her authorship took a major leap when she chronicled the journeys of top Entrepreneurs, Doctors, Architects, Interior Designers, Lawyers, and Chartered Accountants of Central India—publishing them as the acclaimed book series “The Luminaries of Central India – Vol 1 to 5.”

Since then, she has continued to explore diverse literary categories, authoring novels and autobiographies of legends from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, while also penning biographies and technical works that reflect her multifaceted expertise.

A prolific blogger and Tech Moderator for many Indian brands, she has written extensively on health, lifestyle, politics, and education.

In addition, over the past 6 years, she ventured into entrepreneurship with her own IT company, webOdoctor INC, co-founded with two business partners. Today, with their collective effort, it proudly stands among the Top 5 companies in Madhya Pradesh.
