“You want a leave, but why?, this is generally a popped up question from your boss when you ask for a leave.
So what and why exactly do you require a leave. Is it to run away from all the stress at work or is it that stay at home also you keep getting reminded of these stresses and double your stress parameter.

Whenever and wherever you are mental issues are always by your side- whether you are in your cubicle or on beach or in the kitchen. Brain any which ways turns out in a haywire fashion.
Routine life distraction, financial pressure, boozing effect, how to make more fun- all these can add effect to your mental health status.
Sometimes these issues end up too even spoil your holidays. So, you need to apply this trick- Be true to yourself. It is not always that a changing environment can resolve your mental health issues and gives you an essence of self-care. The key to this problem is ‘Preparation’ and ‘Preparation for everything’.

I know most of us think that we don’t need to take medicines when on a holiday. But my dear friend you do need to take the antidepressants.
Simply carry them with you and alarm yourself repeatedly on them if you don’t want to spoil your holiday.( This really works – even I do it)
- STAY IN THE HOTEL IF YOU FEEL LIKE
You are on a holiday and want to explore on something new. So you are on a rush to visit every place without giving yourself a break- Stop doing that!
What’s wrong in spending a night in your bed simply relaxing your body and mind. I understand you don’t want to feel stressed and also don’t want to waste a single day relaxing. But my mate what is the sense in spending a holiday if you end up stressfully.
So reframe your holiday and spend time with yourself relaxing and more refreshing.
- SLEEP , SLEEP & SLEEP
Get some bloody rest if you are in a good and comfortable bed . Let me tell you the most important reason behind stress or any such mental issues is ‘Tiredness’- so just get out of this as early as possible.
Sleep is very important, so have a nap when you are away from your home.
- CARRY YOUR COMFORTS FROM YOUR HOME
Make your baggage your second home when you are travelling. Carry pairs of pyjamas, books, blankets and your favourite tea brand for a ‘kadak chai’ – which is the best theraphy to relax.
This will for sure help you feel less stressed.
- TAKE OUT SOME SOLO TIME FOR YOURSELF
When you are on a holiday and with everyone you actually feel sometimes like running away because you need to follow their pace. So make it clear from the beginning that you will need some time for yourself to relax – may be just staying in when they are partying or walking on a beach when the rest of them are inside a pool.
- LOOK INTO IF PLANNING WORKS FOR YOU OR NOT
It is not important that for everyone scheduling time will work even when you are on a holiday. So figure it out whether you can have all the planning and work accordingly throughout your holiday or not. There are some for whom planning doesn’t work and they get more into stress. So calculate on what is your requirement and proceed similarly.
- HAVE A GENEROUS BUDGET
Some of you may be feeling ashamed to discuss on this with your friends. But believe me tell your friends before you leave on a holiday about what is the generous side of your budget. This will actually help you feel more relaxed.
The whole point about being on a holiday is to spend time in a refreshing and relaxed manner. So why to take stress along with it. Prioritize the things you really care about and have a happy ending and accomplished mission.
